Job Description:

• Create/Enhance ETL jobs as needed to load external feeds into warehouse tables/data mart tables.
• Work with an agile team to deliver and evolve the data platform services
• Provide technical support to User Acceptance and Integration testing environments by researching suspected anomalies and periodically refreshing the environments.
• Performance tuning ETL process and user queries.
• Develop the production process to automate the ETL and create documentation to transition the process to the Production team.
• Experience in data modelling, schema designing, data loading, data replication, SQL Query writing and optimization on distributed databases preferably on Cloud Technologies.
• Working experience with distributed databases on cluster/platform.
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience in working in Agile methodology
• Proficiency in understanding relational, star schema and dimensional data models
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Play a central role in enhancing our automation capabilities for testing our core platform.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers and stakeholders to write test cases for new   changes and work within an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Develop and agree on test plans with BAs and Software Development engineers, reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
• Contribute to improving our test automation framework around the growing suite of APls and Uls on the platform.
• Contribute to our BDD framework, allowing testers to carry out tasks and generate test data via Jira input or Gherkin feature files.
• Log bugs, report issues to developers, and take full ownership and accountability for follow-up to ensure corrective action is taken.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and client coordination experience.

Skills and Experience Required:

Languages: Proficient in Java, C#, and JavaScript.

Testing Types: Extensive experience in functional, performance, compatibility, usability, reliability, security, and maintainability testing.

Automation: Good experience in automating web and API testing; 2+ years in modern automation frameworks (Playwright, Cucumber, Cypress, Mocha, Chai, Jest), with 2+ years specifically in Playwright and Cucumber.

Development Methodologies: Good experience in BDD and TDD, generating test cases from User Story Acceptance Criteria.

Test Environment: Skilled in preparing test data, setting up environments, and working with mobile apps, microservices, and distributed systems.

QA Processes: 2+ years in QA methodology and Agile/Scrum practices.

Tools: Strong experience with JIRA/ADO, QTEST/XRay, GITLAB/Bitbucket, and CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Harness). Familiar with API testing tools (Postman, SOAPUI).

Job Details:

• Java language knowledge for building services and micro services such as Restful with JSON and/or SOAP with XML based request/response required
• Implementing design patterns, algorithms and applying innovative methodologies experience required
• Oracle Database interaction technologies such as Hibernate, JDBC and/or SQL knowledge required.
• Git/GitHub or any other distributed version control systems knowledge required
• Jenkins, CloudBees and/or CI/CD systems working experience required
• UI framework knowledge such as Angular, React and/or Node preferred
• Participates in architectural design, system analysis, and programming activities on application software; this may often require independent research and study
• Develops high-quality and production-ready software by using best-practice data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and frameworks that are maintainable, scalable, responsive, and secure
• Writes highest quality code with utmost attention to scalability, security and performance and with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support, owning specifications, quality, release deployments and monitoring of production health.
